There
are only a few rare dates in this year's travels. The audience operates
ALL the machines, we never ever do, this show is very participatory and
audience interactive for
those who dare.
SEEMEN
have exhibited all over the US and Europe. They
have done massive scale performances for 7 years at The Burning Man
Festival and are the most active and innovative group from the San
Francisco
industrial machine/robot scene. They
have been recently featured in Playboy, Spin, Real Edge
Magazine, LEONARDO, MIT Press, New York Magazine, and on and on
countless websites and lots of others (not to
mention all of ytthe lame reporters and interviewers and media whores i
told to fuck off, MAXIM, LEVIS, LOLLAPALOOZA, HBO). SEEMEN
has been voted one of the top artists in the
San Francisco Bay Area, and have been showcased on The Learning
Channel, FOX NEWS,
Discovery Channel, and PBS.

From San Francisco, home of the
world's largest robot/machine art scene, SEEMEN. Not your average art
group,
SEEMEN create situations where audiences are encouraged to interact and
operate
their machines and robots. SEEMEN is the effort of Kal Spelletich, an
art drop
out and extreme technology inventor who enjoys exploring his taste for
the dark
side of technology. This is art that uses technology, and live
performance to
create an unique event, no two performances are ever the same. They see
themselves as post industrial folk artists. The actions of their robots
poetically symbolize man's struggles and triumphs. Life/death,
endurance, you
look death in the eye, it is cathartic to operate and
interact with military grade technology....
You get to run a machine that can kill you. IT'S FUN!
SEVERAL
BIO-MORPHIC operated machines (controlled by live
volunteers) that sense your heartbeat, respiration, skin conductivity,
muscle flex, proximity sensors, lie detectors (voice stress analyzer)
and more. and BURNING BED-a falling bed you get
strapped to with a giant pair of claws slamming closed around you.
FIRESHOWER
-a spinning cage of fire. SHARKCAGE -a cage the audience
gets into, outside of which a steel angel smashes violently and
lovingly
BULLFIGHT MACHINE -the audience fights a robotic bull. plus a WHIRLING
DERVISH, ICARUS, BORNAGAIN BOOTH AND MANY MANY MORE.
